I have heard some say that sables are harder to sell... then others say that they are easy or see no difference.
For me, it wouldnt even be a factor for me. If someone wants to pass up an awesome sable puppy, thats their choice and someone else will be happy to have him/her :)

The average joe out to get their first GSD has no idea there is anything other than a black/red saddle back and are always amazed when we tell them that, yes, indeed, the sables and the black and the bicolor are all registered purebred GSDs
Count me as one of them. I had no damn idea 1-1/2 years ago.

Coming from the background I do, I think it is very incorrect to label dogs as to color. Randy Brent's dog is excellent as to s/l conformation, yet he is here in the U.S. and not China because of his color.
