Definitely Mal puppy. This is my guy as a puppy and now, just about to turn two years old.

Looks like a Mal to me. Wait a few months and then post again—will be interesting to see how he develops!

Hope the pics are showing. Here she is, at four and a half months. I think her saddle overlay is still pretty much there, and she is not eating much, at only 14.5kg when weight at 18 weeks.

Even if there is some GSD in there somewhere, that is a VERY Malinois
head !

For me it´s a Mal, but it´s interesting to see how close the two breeds are visually interconnected, even for long time GSD owners or breeders...
Nice dog, keep us updated!

Lovely Malinois.

I dunno, I don't see anything BUT a Malinois in the OP's pictures, especially the more recent ones taken when she's 4 months of age. As with GSDs, there are many different strains of Malinois, too, so what one person considers to be 'classic' Malinois may be considered to look like a Mali-mix to another.

Thank you for all your input, i appreciate it a lot.
I have had trainers arguing among themselves whether she is a pure malinois or mix with gsd, it is interesting to see that translate to the internet too. Hexe put those into words perfectly, one may think it look classic malinois , yet another may think it looks mix. It is very insightful to see how diverse one's perception of the characteristic of Malinois vs Gsd could be.
I will continue to update you kind folks on her progress and photos from time to time.
